  • 1 Box Cucina Cipoletti Mezze Maniche
  • 9 oz spicy Italian sausage, removed from casing
  • 2 tbsp Cucina Cipoletti Olive Oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Garlic Cloves, minced
  • 6 oz can of tomato paste
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ½ Cup freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
  • 1 Cup Finely Grated Parmesan
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook Mezzi Maniche until al dente. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion and sauté until soft. Stir in chopped garlic.
  3. Add in sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in tomato paste and Pour in the heavy cream, stirring until combined. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Toss in the drained pasta, adding reserved pasta water as needed to bring everything together.
  6. Stir in Parmigiano-Reggiano, and finish with chopped fresh basil.
